Hello! My name is Kelly, and I am the founder of Creative Elephants. After being a special education teacher since 2009, I received the opportunity to attend training for a structured literacy program, The Wilson Reading System. One training was all it took for my eyes to be opened to the world of dyslexia, and once it was, there was no turning back.

I completed my level 1 training, to become a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner, and began using the program full time with students. During the next few years, I completed Level 2 training, becoming a Wilson Dyslexia Therapist, while simultaneously obtaining a master’s in special education, guided studies dyslexia specialist. After working to remediate many students with dyslexia, I decided to shift my focus from being a public school educator, to working privately with individuals with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and other language-based learning disabilities

Although nothing will compare to my love for Jesus Christ, and my wonderful husband, I absolutely love helping others unlock the hidden secrets of reading and writing. I am passionate about coming alongside, as you walk through your journey with dyslexia, and helping in any way that I can! I feel that education should be a partnership, so I love when parents desire to get involved, reinforce and practice at home, and become invested. I hope to be able to meet you, and if nothing else, offer support and remind you that you are not alone. Cheers!
